For your information, Hoi An is just along the beach.
Nearest airport : Da Nang

My husband and I chose a resort place to stay by the beach to recharge ourselves from our
stressful work and life. There are lots of resort places along the beach and they are still constructing more. Demand is there and you will know why when you are there.

Let the photos do the talking! Taken with a normal digital camera. Not DSLR, and Iphone.
Breathtaking view from our resort room

If you are staying in Sunrise, do take their recommended cocktail! You won't go wrong.

Unfortunately, it was 36 degrees AT LEAST when we were there.
Even with the shades, it wasn't in any way cooler.

Hoi An is historically known as "Fai Foo". Just like Singapore, it used to be a trading port.
We signed up for Viator's food tour, which was very insightful because the tour guides introduced some history and architectures in Hoi An Old Town.

The Japanese Bridge

Fai Foo

One of the reasons that brought me here was how this Hoi An Old Town is SO SO SO popular among the tourists who are looking to tailor make some clothing.
In fact, if you google, Hoi An Old Town is reowned for its generations of Tailors.
Hence, if you get the chance to visit their factory, all their workers are Tailors and not Seamstress.

This is a Silk shop where I got one of my pants done.

This lady is stitching out an art.

Silkworm babies

Unfortunately, silkworms got boiled and we get their silk.....
Check out these fabrics. They are really beautiful and I regretted not exchanging more money to tailor make moreeeeee.

My husband and his flamboyant choice. I am not sure when he is going to have a chance to wear this. BTW...We highly recommend Mr Xe.
Check out my Tripadvisor review.

This is Hoi An's market place.
Very different from Singapore's wet market.

They sell chickens for slaughter like this. A tourist behind me thought that it's a pet shop.

Again, another hidden gem from Viator.
We signed up for a cooking class!

The cooking class was made so easy for us.

All these fragrances~

Leave the hardwork to the guys =P
This westerner really knows how to cook.
Apparently, he lives by himself and he does alot of cooking at home.
Salad done!
 Spring Roll
This is Banh Xeo in Singapore but it isn't exactly the same in Hoi An.
Banh Xeo in Hoi an is the spring roll above.

Cooking class is really fruitful. I love going for cooking classes with my husband. We don't usually cook at home and I guess this kinda experience will help us grow in that area and also bond well over some oil splattering hardships hahahah.

I did my fare bit of reviews on Viator as well.
So this blog is really just going into details on our experiences.

Do check out the Wonders of Hoi An if you are looking for a short getaway~
You need to love walking, be out in the Sun in order to enjoy this place.

I hope this helps!
Will be posting about Hoi An cafes...soon!

With adventurous spirit,
Riviolas
