RENOVATION LOG #8: Rivervale Delta 5 room Renovation 3D Visualisation (1st Round)

YEAH! It was the long awaited 3D Visualisation! 

My thoughts: Excited yet disappointed. However, because I feel that the $ we are paying for this level of design is already very discounted, I really shouldn't complain that much about the 3D

Let's take a look at the shot from the entrance.

The floor tile were not yet chosen but this is roughly how it will look like.

The white wall on the right, beside the book nook,
is actually a tempered glass which serves as a whiteboard =D

Our contractor/ designer already knew there were some mistakes so he highlighted it to us before us pointing it out. I think that's good because afterall, he is the overall in charge. As long as he knows what we want, the final product will be correct. 

Inaccuracy, to be fixed: 

1. Shoe Cabinet is too high. It shouldn't block the view to the living room too much if not, it would act like a wall and make the living room look smaller.
2. Black false ceiling, will not be black, it will be covered by some other wallpaper.
3. Should change the curtain design, it doesn't suit the overall theme 

Accurate, sticked to our request:

1. Bombshelter cover
2. Library Platform
3. Book nook
4. TV Console

Long rectangular false ceiling that is parallel to the length of the living room (gives illusion of a longer living room)

Now let's look at the dining area!

Inaccuracy, to be fixed: 

1. Wrong Wallpaper. It's too countryside on one end and like PAUL's modern french cafe on another.
2. The space between the mirror is too big. Refer back to PAUL's cafe.
3. Minor issue, I don't think I'll go for that style of furniture too. 
4. The black wall is too dark. We should go for a lighter colour so that we still can see
   the vinyl framing around the walls

Accurate to our request:

1. GOOD! French door is there but it's the wrong material applied

   This is the most inaccurate visualisation.
   Again, Aaron apologized for the wrong design and told us the amendments that he will make. So I'm not so worried about this.

Inaccuracy, to be fixed:

1. The cabinet should be of the same colour, texture, with groove lines on the surface so that it has a modern french look. For extruded french design, it's going to add a few thousands on your quotation! So please ask your designer for alternative fix for your design.

Depending on your needs, if you can consider putting tiles in bwt your kitchen cabinet to get a more european look.

Now, the bedroom design isn't what we want.

Inaccuracy, to be fixed: 

1. The bedroom doesn't fit the theme outside. It's too countryside design.

Bathroom, love the marble design on the wall!
Sorry, I think this might be a google image. Goldfish memory.
But yea this is exactly what we wanted for our bathroom.

These are the tiles we had chosen for the wall and floor.
You can actually save alot of money if you overlay on just 1 side of the wall.

It can still look good! Just google it.

To tile the whole bathroom with this, it will make your bathroom look really dark!

Advice from Gallery T, real marble tiles are more difficult to take care 

and it will cost you a bomb!

Remember your quotation,
be sure to have enough funds for your renovation!
Most IDs will break up the payment for you.
I really don't suggest getting bank loan for your banquet or renovation.

If you really need a loan, get from your family members
AND return them back ASAP.

Don't take family members for granted.
They worked so hard to save up for you.
Even if your mum and dad offers to lend you some money,
it is our responsibility as children to return their hard earned money back to them.
Their savings, which they had saved for the entire of their life, should be used to pamper themselves and NOT us.
